What is Lifestyle Coaching?

Lifestyle Coaching focuses on creating positive results through building self-awareness as well as supporting positive action. Coaching facilitates a deepened understanding, awareness or shift in clients that opens the door to new possibilities and new choices.

Lifestyle in a coaching context addresses the whole person, including physical, mental, social and spiritual well being depending on the needs of the client. The goal of Lifestyle Coaching is to help individuals create healthy, productive and purposeful lives as defined by the client.

While the Lifestyle Coaching Institute focuses on physical well being, other areas of a person’s life naturally come into the coaching process. This holistic approach enables the clients to integrate healthy behaviours into their lives permanently.

How Does Coaching Work?

In each coaching session, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice.

This involves:

Synergy: You become a part of a team, focusing on your goals and accomplishing much more than you would alone.

Simplicity: Working together you will be able to see the bigger picture, gain clarity and focus.

Structure: You will take more positive action without procrastinating - you are accountable to your coach.

Expertise: You benefit by 20 years of experience in each coaching session - my expertise in exercise, nutrition, goal achievement, stress management and life balance.
I will ask clear and sometimes piercing questions, and as you answer, you will begin to see things about yourself that you never saw before. New ideas and strategies will become obvious and you will find yourself more compelled into action.
We set up phone appointments each month. The number depends on the program you choose and you call me at our pre-arranged times. You also get as much e-mail support as you need.
